emma's sweater progress

I was hoping that I would be further along in Emma's sweater progress.  Alas, I am not.  I am almost finished with the front panel.  Luckily, this sweater dress will not have sleeves :-)  So I am almost half done!  I like how it is turning out, and Emma is really excited to have a new sweater...since I shrunk her other one in the laundry.  The one that I made her when she was about 18 months now looks like it will fit a doll.  It was a little sad for me, considering she still liked to wear it, albeit a little short.  I am knitting as fast as I can go though, especially when you take into account my very long book list.

I was going to write about how I had read quite a ways into Radical Homemakers.  I am actually really enjoying it.  But, then I got a whole new batch of books from the library on reserve, so my time has been split between several books at once.  Like knitting several projects at once, I always have a few different books going at the same time.  Yesterday I took the time to write out all the books that I am currently reading/about to read.  You can find that post here.  I think there are a few good recommendations in there that you might be interested in!  I hope you have a chance to check them out!

I am of course joining Ginny in her lovely yarn along.  I am amazed at all the talent out there...hopefully I will be at that point someday.  :-)

  1. It is really coming along and hooray for being half done! I have strunk a few things myself [my husband's favorite shirt, ahem] so I understand.
Great post on all your books!
    Happy yarn along.

  4. I nearly always have more than one book going. Sometimes I am just not in the mood for the one I am reading so I need another :) Like knitting ;) The dress looks great!

  5. I know the feeling of spreading yourself over several books and not feeling like you're really making progress on any of them. I'd love to know what you think of Radical Homemakers once you've finished it. It's in my queue as well!
