Christmas Knitting

I started knitting the second American Girl scarf for my other niece.  I spent a good amount of time knitting patterns, and then ripping it out because I didn't like how it was looking.

I realized after the third pattern I tried that I preferred to just have a simple pattern.  I wanted to let the sparkle speak for itself!

On the reading front...well I am waiting on a couple of books I have requested from the library.  Although, I know that it is unlikely that I am going to be starting any books in the next several days.

I am so looking forward to the holiday season officially starting on Thanksgiving this week!  We have a lot of fun traditions that take place over the next several days.  It is also exciting because it will be Lucy's first Thanksgiving!  And while she won't be partaking in all the food, it will still be an occasion to celebrate!

What are you working on this week?  Or are you taking a break to work on preparing for Thanksgiving?

  1. That is cute!! Happy Thanksgiving- I love the holidays too and can hardly believe they are here already!

  2. Beautiful sparkle - isn't everything better with little flecks of silver or gold?

  3. That is a pretty little scarf.

  4. Pretty! I'm sure your niece will be very happy to get this for her doll! I love the sparkling effect!

I love to hear from my readers and try to respond to all comments either here or through e-mail. Thank you for taking the time to comment!
