A Garden Tour – Week Seven

Ahhh, the middle of summer, when the plants start to produce the vegetables that I have been caring for.  Well, at least the start of producing! The green beans are growing.  We haven't picked any yet, but I think today I might be able to grab a couple so we can all eat one - raw - straight out of the garden.  The best way to eat green beans in my opinion! I was also able … [Read more...] about A Garden Tour – Week Seven

A Garden Tour – Week Six

It has been extremely cold the past couple of days.  I guess that is probably a bit of an exaggeration, temperatures in the 60’s are not all that cold.  It certainly felt that way though, especially in the summer months!  I think that the cool off and rain did help my garden though – the rain especially.  It has been so incredibly dry here. A Garden Tour – Week Three

I’m always amazed at the new growth after a week.  And last week I did my garden tour a little later than I had originally planned, so it hasn’t been a full week, but the changes are noticeable. The first change that I noticed this weekend was the arrival of my day lilies.  These flowers were planted here when we bought the house (all the flowers were, thankfully!).  I love … [Read more...] about A Garden Tour – Week Three

A Garden Tour – Week Two

I knew it would happen.  We were late getting our fence up.  We had to buy all new garden fencing this year, and the timing to get it up was not working for me.  I thought perhaps that I would have an extra week, but I knew that I had to get the fence up in that first week.  Unfortunately, that did not happen. Because the fence did not get up early enough, the … [Read more...] about A Garden Tour – Week Two
